Mental Health First Aid Youth (2-Day course)
With this 2-day, internationally accredited course, you can become a youth mental health first aider.
The course is for those who teach, work, live and care for children and young people aged 8 – 18 years. Delivered by qualified teachers, the course enables people to better identify, understand and help a young person who may be developing a mental health problem.
The course is divided into four manageable chunks: What is Mental Health; Depression and Anxiety; Suicide and Psychosis; Self-harm and Eating Disorders.
The course aims to provide information, tools and techniques that you can use in a real-life setting.
Courses range from 8-16 participants and full attendance of the 2 days is required to qualify for certification.
