About Emma

Emma (MSc MSc LLB) is an early career researcher in the field of mental health and psychology. She will be commencing a full-time PhD at King’s College London from October 2020.

Specifically, she holds a key interest in the following areas: youth mental health, social media and the role of technology (including m-health), eating disorders, wellbeing at university and the workplace, involving service users in research, mindfulness, anxiety and depression, the impact of co-morbidity in mental and physical health, young carers.

She is also qualified Adult and Youth Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Instructor for these 2-day, internationally accredited courses. She is also trained to deliver the One-Day Youth MHFA course, and the Half Day Adult Mental Health Aware MHFA course.

Emma also draws upon her experience of mental health problems during childhood and into adulthood. With an expansive history of personal, professional and voluntary work in the mental health sector, Emma is in the unique position to bring this complimentary set of experiences into her work as a researcher, trainer and writer.
